20 years’ writing and editing experience
I’ve been tackling the blank page with glee and helping others do the same since I studied English at uni in 1998. I’ve worked in different sectors over the years including arts, charity, government, corporate and non-profit. But in 2008 I realised the part of all the jobs I was best at (and loved most) was the writing. So, I did an MA in Professional Writing at Falmouth University and I’ve been making a living writing and editing freelance for a huge range of clients ever since. Here’s a taste of what I’ve worked on.
The perfect mix of logical and lyrical
I love weaving words together but I also love spreadsheets. I’m a creative writer with a business brain. I know the power of words: which ones to choose to inspire, entertain, inform or persuade and which to leave out. I may be sitting here drinking tea in my office in South Wales but I work with companies all over the world. I collaborate successfully with individuals and small businesses, agencies and big name brands. Whether I’m working remotely or in-house as part of the team, I know when to listen and when to speak up. I believe approaching every job with a smile makes everyone’s jobs easier and more enjoyable. More than a copywriter
I’m not just about the words on the screen. I often help clients by bringing my skills as a project manager, admin geek and workshop leader into the mix. An easy life
I admit it, I’m a bit of a swot. I should probably have spent less of my youth in a library, but I’ve got a 1st in English and an MA with distinction to show for it! Now, I use this focus and drive to get the best copy to you as quickly as possible. I pick up new topics quickly, ask the right questions and get on with it. I’m here to help you tick jobs off your list, not add to them.
